You know those commercials promoting good parenting? Or anything promoting good parenting in general? The only people who pay attention to things like that are good parents, and those who try to be. If Grandpa is off at a strip club until all hours, does it really matter if you tell him that Little Johnny has an impressionable young mind? Ah well.

People don't seem to realize life never promised them anything but a shot at survival, and sometimes not even that. So when someone thinks they are entitled to a free ride, an easy life, or some privilege, remind them (or yourself) that. You are only entitled to what you earn, and sometimes you don't even get that. So yeah, I guess I'm pretty damn lucky . . .
